American Sign Language
Sign Language is an incredible way of communicating. It allows you to use your hands to speak, in replacement of your voice. However, while the predominant way to communicate in Sign Language is using your hands, Sign Language also consists of one's body movement, facial expressions, gestures, hand movement, hand position, and hand shape. However, Sign Language is not the same, universally. American Sign Language (ASL) is the form of Sign Language most people in America communicate with, because they speak American. Anyone can practice Sign Language, but it is common among the deaf. Sign Language is popular among the deaf, because often times they do not feel comfortable using their voice, and so Sign Language gives them a way of communicating without using their voice.
